The digital switchover is the process which all analogue televisions will be switched off and the UK will only be able to receive digital. Starting in 2008 and ending in 2012 you will see regions switching to digital. Many companies including freeview are helping towards the switchover. No one need to worry thou there is so many ways to receive data including all on freeview! If you have a disability or elderly and need assisting no need to worry as a new project has been created to assist to help you.

In due time you will eventually have to switch to digital if not you wont be able to receive any television channels. There is no need to panic because when buying equipment just look for the logos on either side to assure you that the equipment is compatible with the digital switchover. Also certain projects have been set up to help people switchover to digital.
