Freeview is the free digital terrestrial service where you can air more the 30 television channels and over 20 radio stations via you aerial. You will be spoilt for choice with a variety of entertainment, news and factual, lifestyle, kids, music and now films (with film4). Remember freeview is a free digital service without needing a satellite dish to air channels all you need is a good aerial and a set-top box.
Digital features are included with freeview. There is BBCi the leading interactive feature on freeview with games, the news, lottery etc, qvc active and the hits extra. As well as Teletext with itv, c4 and other specific subjects like games, holidays etc and sky text. There are also programming listings features with a now/next feature to a 7-day tv guide (depending how good your box is). Also more channels can be found in widescreen and with subtitles.
Remember all of this and more on freeview is available for free with no extra charge after you bought a set-top box. Note that not all features and channels are available on every set-top box and not every where in the UK can receive freeview at this stage but by 2012 every where will be able to receive digital.
